Rebel FM Podcast #2
The second Rebel FM podcast is available at eat. sleep. game. from ex 1-upers Nick Suttner, Anthony Gallegos, Philip Kollar, and Arthur Gies.
Check it out and support the site. I am sure that there will be many great things coming from them in the future (not that this podcast isn’t great mind you).

1-up Orphans
I wasn’t going to post anything for a while, mostly because I have no readers, but I thought if even one person reads this it will be worth it. As I am sure many of you know, 1-up was sold by Ziff Davis Media to Hearst Corporation and UGO. As a result, 1-up was almost completely gutted of its best editors and writers. Not only this, but both Games for Windows and Electronic Gaming Monthly have been canceled.
If any of youa re as distraught about this as I am, or even if you just frequented 1-up occasionally, you should support the 1-up orphans by visiting two new sites, eat. sleep. game. and The Geekbox. Both have new podcasts, and the guys (Ryan and Matt) responsible for the 1-up show are thinking of a new video podcast.
To be honest, 1-up is dead. What exists is merely a skeleton crew trying to puppet the remnants of the corpse. But like every corpse (maybe this metaphor has gone too far), it will decay. R.I.P. 1-up, you will always be remembered fondly.

I know, I know…
…my blog title makes little, if any, sense. But it obviously captures a lot about gaming (prepubescent, testosterone driven geekdom), which is, if you hadn’t already guessed, the subject of this blog. This will be brief, and is mostly to entice you with the promise of amazing future content. Everything from game reviews and random musings on the gaming scene, to rants about how much I hate things (yes, they are things, not people) such as Xbox Livers.
I am planning on covering the console scene, as I do not have access to a super powered gaming box (unfortunately). Systems that will be represented are DS, Wii, 360 and Ps3 (sorry PSP).
Thanks for reading and look out for new content in the coming months.
